Trade Compliance Specialist

Type: Contract (Possible Temp-to-Hire) Overview Support U.S. import and export operations to ensure compliance with all applicable trade laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role handles day-to-day trade compliance activities for simple to moderately complex requirements. Key Responsibilities Support U.S. import/export compliance operations Maintain import/export manuals and perform regular audits Manage item master data (HTS, Country of Origin, license status) Partner with engineering and procurement on new product compliance Ensure accurate filing of import/export records Provide Free Trade Agreement (FTA) data to customers as needed Assist with government licensing applications Ensure proper export of products Monitor and manage internal trade compliance systems Maintain compliance with CTPAT, ITAR, and EAR regulations Complete required annual import/export training Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or 4+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree Strong analytical and technical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills
