The Estimating team plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids, contributing directly to our reputation for excellence. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate budgets, conducting quantity take-offs, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and maintaining budgets for ongoing projects. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our project managers and ensuring the financial success of our projects. Key Responsibilities Budget Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate project budgets to provide clients with a clear understanding of overall project costs. Quantity Take-Offs: Perform comprehensive quantity and cost take-offs to support accurate bidding and project planning. Bid Management: Prepare and issue project bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and deadlines are met. Subcontractor Evaluation: Qualify subcontractor proposals, assessing their capabilities and financial stability to ensure successful project completion. Budget Maintenance: Monitor and maintain budgets for ongoing projects, making adjustments as necessary to reflect changes in scope or unforeseen costs. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to budgetary constraints. Qualifications Experience: 5-12 years of estimating experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project cost management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction drawings and specifications. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive estimates. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
