Service Lot Attendant Supervisor - Kearny Mesa Ford/KiaNon-ExemptJob Summary The Lot Attendant Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the dealership's lot attendants and manage the efficient movement and organization of vehicles. Your role involves supervising staff, ensuring vehicles are properly displayed, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining a clean and orderly lot. Your leadership will contribute to a positive customer experience and support the overall efficiency of dealership operations. Essential Functions: Lead, train, and supervise a team of lot attendants. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure that staff adhere to dealership policies and procedures. Oversee the organization and placement of vehicles on the dealership lot. Ensure that vehicles are displayed attractively and are easily accessible for customers and sales representatives. Ensure that the dealership lot and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards. Manage routine lot maintenance tasks such as cleaning, trash removal, and landscaping. Assist customers as needed, including providing directions, answering basic questions about vehicles, and ensuring a positive and professional interaction. Coordinate the preparation of vehicles for display, including washing, detailing, and fueling. Ensure that all vehicles are in excellent condition and meet dealership standards. Monitor and manage vehicle inventory on the lot. Ensure accurate tracking of vehicle locations and status. Coordinate with the sales and service departments for vehicle transfers and special requests. Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect vehicles and staff. Monitor surveillance systems and maintain security of the lot, addressing any security concerns promptly. Maintain records of lot activities, including vehicle movements, maintenance performed, and staff attendance. Prepare reports for management as required. Collaborate with the sales, service, and management teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. Assist with vehicle deliveries and special events as needed. Drive, park and retrieve customer vehicles in the service lot efficiently and safely. Maintain satisfactory attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lot attendant or related field. Valid driver's license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire. Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description. Preferred Qualifications: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers and staff. Knowledge of vehicle care and dealership operations. Proficiency in basic computer applications and dealership management systems. Attention to detail when assessing new or used vehicles for damage and debris. Strong organizational and communication skills. Positive attitude and ability to motivate and support a team. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Physical Demands: Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds. Physical ability to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time. Environment/Noise May encounter many odors in the work area some of which may be hazardous. Exposure to hazardous conditions and equipment that may result in minor injuries; frequent exposure to contaminants such as antifreeze and chemical degreasers. May encounter variety of weather conditions working outside. May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces Work is performed in a parking lot environment, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
