About the Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Technician that is detailed oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required. Responsibilities:Obtain a thorough and concise patient history, including relevant medical, ocular, and family history, to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions. Record visual acuity measurements using standardized testing methods, ensuring precise documentation of patients' visual function for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Perform manifest refractions with precision and efficiency, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to determine the optimal refractive correction for patients with refractive errors. Conduct intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements using tonometry techniques. Accurately document examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans as directed Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Must Embrace a patient-first mindset. Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Be a team player. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the dynamic needs of the practice, including willingness to travel between multiple office locations as needed. Education Requirement:High school diploma or GED. Certification preferred, but not required. Work Schedule: 8:30AM-5:00PM Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required for Saturdays and evenings.
