Health Center Inc (also known as New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of NYC, Inc, Employee Benefit Funds) is an NYC based healthcare organization with ambulatory care facilities staffed with a wide range of health professionals to provide extensive medical and diagnostic services. We offer Primary Care, Dental, Radiological, Vision, Mental Health, and other Specialist services at our facilities at no charge to our Union members, removing the financial roadblock that many people face when trying to obtain quality medical care. We are looking for a highly reliable Echo Technologist to help in our mission of providing top notch medical imaging services to our Union members. Please note we are recruiting for a candidate who can travel to our Queens, Harlem, Midtown, and Brooklyn locations. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs all ultrasound diagnostic procedures, including processing of films. Takes and processes all requests for ultrasounds on a timely basis. Ensures all request forms have proper physician signature, patient history, diagnosis, and type of ultrasound requested. Coordinates inter-office transport of ultrasound to ensure availability of films for interpretation by physician, as scheduled. Maintains current and accurate logs; records and files for easy access by applicable staff. Performs light maintenance tasks on ultrasound and other equipment. Performs daily cleaning and monitoring (maintenance records, test frequencies) to ensure all equipment is in good working order. Arranges for repairs, as necessary, with clearance from administrator/designee. Orders and maintains required inventory of supplies. Performs, according to schedule, mandated quality assurance activities, including: Maintaining compliance with center policies and procedures and department of health safety standards and reporting requirements. Maintaining cleanliness of ultrasound area: Meeting all equipment monitoring/maintenance requirements; and Submitting scheduled quality assurance reports to the administrator. 8. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Must be RDCS certified. A minimum of one (1) year experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer preferred. Current BCLS certification.
