Closes: March 15, 2026 Job Description We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our SCADA team supporting Windows and Kubernetes-based containerized applications that enables Outage Management System (OMS) capabilities within an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) environment. More specifically, this engineer position participates as part of the ADMS engineering and support team focusing on the Outage Management System aspects of ADMS system. This role works closely with other SCADA engineers, as well as networking and infrastructure teams to operate and continuously improve highly-available, mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in Linux/Windows systems, Kubernetes, DevOps, and automation. Candidates should demonstrate a solid technical background and the ability to work effectively as part of a team supporting complex systems. A strong background in distribution network topology principles and powerflow calculations are also a requirement for this candidate. Minimum RequirementsRequires advanced specialized knowledge or technical background represented by a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited Engineering Program or its equivalent in technical training Effective and flexible communication skills Entry Engineer: 0-1 years engineering work experience preferred Hiring Range: $68,027 to $87,754 Assistant Engineer: Minimum of one (1) year of engineering work experience required Hiring Range: $77,595 to $100,486 Associate Engineer: Minimum of two (2) years of engineering work experience required Hiring Range: $88,336 to $114,838 Engineer: Minimum of four (4) years engineering work experience required Hiring Range: $100,378 to $131,496 Senior Engineer: Minimum of six (6) years engineering work experience required Demonstrated skills illustrating use of productivity, presentation, and analytical tools specific to area of expertise Demonstrated technical leadership within engineering Demonstrated positive and effective working relationships with internal and external parties Specialty technical proficiency, project leadership, and ability to be self-directed Hiring Range: $114,207 to $150,183 Preferred RequirementsStrong background in Distribution Network Topology concepts and calculating Distribution Power Flow Ability to provide rotational 24/7 support to real-time operational systems Experience with real-time SCADA or PLC based operational systems and various TCP/IP communication protocols, including DNP 3.0 Hands on experience with Linux system administration, including on experience with Linux system administration, including command-line troubleshooting and system maintenance Practical experience working with Kubernetes and containerized application platforms, or relevant certification such as Linux Foundation’s Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines Experience writing and maintaining scripts or automation using tools such as Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell Familiarity with Windows Server environments, particularly in support of application or integration components; understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balanced services; experience supporting or operating high-availability, availability, multi-environment systems (DEV/QA/PRD) Ability to collaborate effectively with SCADA engineers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and operations staff; strong communication skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and operational work Exposure to monitoring, observability, or policy tooling in Kubernetes environments; database fundamentals supporting application platforms Experience in mission-critical or regulated operational environments, such as utilities or industrial systems Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. The full salary range for this position is $68,027 to $186,159.
