Pay: $16.50 - $23.03 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, the tugger is responsible for transporting merchandise at the floor level from one location to another using a Tugger machine while abiding by all safety guidelines. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Using tugger machine to transport merchandise from one location to another throughout the warehouse; Tugger's operate at the ground level; the tugger operator will scan merchandise as it is being connected/disconnected to their tugger for proper tracking and inventory control; knowledge of tugger procedures; responsible for maintaining excellent customer service; respond to instructions sent to scan gun in regards to proper merchandise to pull; keep warehouse area clean; assist other departments in the warehouse as needed; transfer materials as needed; maintain aisle(s)/departments as assigned by manager; put merchandise away properly; check daily closing assignments and responsibilities; any other duties as directed by management. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment, safety, and merchandise handling procedures. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 35 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Work Environment: Indoor, climate controlled environment.
