Job Description: Join our dynamic team as the Senior Vice President of Mission Critical Construction Operations, where you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our construction initiatives within the mission-critical sector. You will be instrumental in driving excellence in project delivery and ensuring the adoption of best practices across projects ranging from $100M to $1B+ while leading a dedicated team of 5 to 60 members. Strategic Leadership & Market Focus Develop and execute a forward-thinking vision and strategy for the Mission Critical Sector, focusing on hyperscale, colocation, and build-to-suit (BTS) client needs. Drive market expansion in key regions, establishing our company as a leader in data center construction. Manage the P&L for the Mission Critical construction sector, ensuring robust financial health and profitability across your project portfolio. Client Partnership & Delivery Excellence Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting them through design, site selection, construction, power delivery, commissioning, and operational handover. Create and implement standardized playbooks and best practices for hyperscale, colocation, and BTS projects to drive consistency, quality, and quick delivery. Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, design partners, equipment vendors, and trade partners. Technical & Operational Innovation Lead the charge in innovating construction delivery models, embracing methods like prefabrication, modular construction, and advanced technologies to enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, and project timelines. Champion continuous improvement of core construction systems, focusing on speed, safety, and efficiency to meet the demanding timelines of data center clients. Foster a culture devoted to learning and quality assurance, ensuring your team stays at the forefront of trends in data center construction, including sustainability and advanced power solutions. Team & Cultural Leadership Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance team specializing in mission-critical project management and field operations. Plan for future leadership by developing the next generation of leaders in the Mission Critical sector. Establish and monitor workforce standards and KPIs, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project delivery. Serve as a cultural ambassador within and outside the organization, embodying our values while engaging in the broader construction community. A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage. Job Specific Requirements: A minimum of 15 years of progressive construction experience, including 10 years in a leadership role overseeing Mission Critical/Data Center projects. Direct experience with Hyperscale, Co-location, or enterprise Build-to-Suit (BTS) projects. A successful history managing complex, large-scale construction projects valued at $100M or more. Expertise in the full lifecycle of data center construction, from pre-construction and design-build collaboration to commissioning and handover. Strong knowledge of data center-specific challenges, including heavy MEP systems, long-lead equipment procurement, and commissioning processes. Experience leading operations across multiple regions, understanding both union and open-shop labor environments. Willingness to travel regularly for project site visits and client meetings.
