Description - What You'll Do Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory tests including chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering to established standards. Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for various tests, as required. Thoroughly document all protocols, mentor new employees or interns, and work to maintain high laboratory quality standards. Uphold a tidy, secure work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation regulations. Education A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, paired with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications Certification from ASCP or AMT in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment. Maintain your certification throughout your tenure.
