HRIS Analyst (Ceridian Dayforce)Temp-to-Perm | HybridLocation: Houston, TX (preferred) or Canonsburg, PA Pay Rate: $43/hr Schedule: In-office Tuesday-Thursday Remote Monday & Friday Travel ~10% domestic Position Summary The Senior HRIS Analyst will play a critical role in building and stabilizing the HR technology and data foundation for a newly independent, private equity-backed organization during a key carve-out phase. As one of the early HR team hires, this role will lead and support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Ceridian Dayforce platform while ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and scalable HR processes. This position blends hands-on system execution with cross-functional collaboration. The Senior HRIS Analyst will work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and external vendors to support employee lifecycle processes, reporting, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments where structure and processes are being built from the ground up. Key ResponsibilitiesDayforce Implementation & Functional Stand-Up (Pre-Close) Serve as the HRIS subject matter expert (SME), partnering with Ceridian Dayforce to translate HR and payroll requirements into system configuration aligned with business rules and security standards. Support data conversion activities, including template preparation, data validation, test loads, and issue resolution for employee, job, compensation, and benefits data. Execute and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT), "day-in-the-life" scenarios, and parallel payroll testing. Track and resolve system issues in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders. Develop and document SOPs, process maps, and administrative guides to support post-go-live operations. HRIS Administration & Data Management Maintain and update employee records, organizational structures, and job data to ensure ongoing data accuracy and integrity. Support HR workflows including onboarding, job changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Conduct routine audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Administer system security roles and access controls in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. Reporting, Analytics & Insights Develop, maintain, and enhance standard and ad-hoc HR reports for HR, Finance, and business leaders. Translate HR data into actionable insights supporting workforce planning, headcount management, and compliance. Support dashboards, metrics, and analytics tools used across the organization. Systems Support, Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement Act as the primary escalation point for HRIS questions, issues, and troubleshooting. Participate in testing and validation for system updates, releases, and enhancements. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend system-based improvements. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on configuration changes and technical enhancements. HR Operations & Cross-Functional Support Provide operational system support across the employee lifecycle. Partner closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure accurate payroll and benefits processing. Assist with documentation, SOP development, and HR operational readiness. Support broader HR initiatives, system communications, and change management efforts. Employee Experience & Enablement Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to HR systems and self-service functionality. Create user-friendly guides, job aids, and quick-reference materials. Identify system-related employee experience challenges and drive improvements. Vendor & Stakeholder Partnership Manage ongoing collaboration with Ceridian Dayforce for support, enhancements, and performance optimization. Partner with IT, Finance, and HR stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs. Assist in evaluating future HR technology modules, integrations, and tools as the organization scales. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of HR systems, data structures, security protocols, and core HR processes. Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms; Ceridian Dayforce experience strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to translate technical system capabilities into practical HR solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills across HR, IT, Finance, and vendors. Comfort operating in a dynamic, high-change environment. Education Bachelor's degree required (Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred). HR or HR technology certifications (e.g., HRIP, SHRM-CP) are a plus. Experience 3-6+ years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, or technical HR roles. Demonstrated experience supporting HR systems, reporting, and data troubleshooting. Prior experience in high-growth, transformational environments (e.g., carve-outs, startups, PE-backed organizations) highly preferred. Multi-module HRIS experience strongly preferred.
