HGA is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support operations in Baton Rouge, LA. The Associate Project Manager supports engineering project execution for petrochemical clients. This role assists Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating multi-discipline engineering deliverables. The APM may also manage smaller projects or work packages under limited supervision. Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of experience in petrochemical consulting, either as a Project Engineer or a design engineer. Key Responsibilities Support project planning by defining scope, deliverables, milestones, and resource needs Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and discipline assignments Monitor project budgets, progress, and resource utilization; provide routine updates to the Project Manager Assist with management of scope, schedule, and cost changes Coordinate across multi-discipline engineering teams (process, mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, instrumentation, etc.) Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors Prepare and maintain project documentation, deliverable logs, action items, and weekly progress reports Support proposal development, estimating, and planning for new work Participate in client meetings and represent the Project Manager when needed Ensure project quality standards and engineering work processes are followed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management 2-5 years of experience supporting multi-disciplined engineering design projects Background as a Project Engineer or design engineer in the petrochemical industry Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 Proven ability to track progress, manage deliverables, and report project status Strong understanding of engineering deliverables, design workflows, and project execution in a consulting environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and general project management tools Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
