Description Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, using both standardized assessments and personalized observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Provide individualized speech therapy interventions with concentration on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate with a diverse team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies. Facilitate educational sessions for patients and families to encourage progress outside of clinical visits. Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure consistent care throughout patient treatment journeys. Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing learning and collaboration within the field to stay abreast of new methodologies and advancements. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential within 30 days of starting. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with a keen understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional communication skills that foster strong connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adept at modifying therapy techniques to account for diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think creatively.
