Job Summary: Serve as a dedicated healthcare provider collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver primary care and women's health services. This role involves close partnership with sponsoring physicians and leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and effective clinic operations. The APRN also provides technical and scientific oversight for the onsite laboratory. Essential Responsibilities: Fiscal Responsibility: Maintain accurate and legible medical records, demonstrate proficiency with clinic computer systems including billing and meaningful use, manage time and supplies efficiently, and support cost-effective care initiatives. Provide technical consultation and oversight for the laboratory when assigned. Facilitate patient access to community resources and ensure timely billing for services. Quality: Establish and confirm medical diagnoses, order and interpret laboratory and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and manage follow-up care. Adhere to established protocols in collaboration with physicians to promote positive patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement activities, including data analysis and education of colleagues. Oversee laboratory quality control programs to maintain testing integrity and resolve technical issues. Patient Satisfaction: Tailor patient care plans and education based on individual assessments and diagnostic findings. Provide counseling and support, assist with referrals to specialists or community resources, and represent the healthcare organization positively in community engagements. Patient Safety: Ensure all care provided is accurate, current, and appropriate for patients across developmental stages. Organize and delegate patient safety efforts, conduct comprehensive health assessments, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate and manage patient risk. Professional Growth: Engage in peer review, competency evaluations, and ongoing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Provide constructive feedback and contribute to a positive workplace environment. Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service, demonstrate compassion and respect to patients and colleagues, and maintain effective communication across all levels of the healthcare team. Be accessible for laboratory consultation as needed. Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for new hires. Proficiency with computer systems is necessary. Licensure and Certifications: Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the state nursing board. Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) required for new hires. This position is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
