Engineer I

Our client, an innovative technology organization, is seeking an Engineer I to join their team. In this role, you will provide operational and technical network support across labs, offices, and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid networking foundation, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset that aligns well within a fast-paced technical environment. Job Title: Engineer I Location: Longmont, CO (80503) Pay Rate (PR): $45/hour What's the Job? Provide daily operational and technical support for network services, including ticket resolution and end-user inquiries. Maintain and update network schematics, low-level design diagrams, and infrastructure documentation. Oversee and track inventory of network hardware and devices. Monitor network health, performance, availability, and overall system reliability. Install, configure, and support network equipment such as wireless access points, switches, routers, and phones across labs, offices, and data centers. What's Needed? Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment. Working knowledge of switching and routing protocols including VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP. Familiarity with LAN, WAN, WiFi, structured cabling, and network infrastructure components such as firewalls, controllers, load balancers, and Infoblox. Understanding of network monitoring tools, automation concepts, and packet-level protocol analysis. Background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. What's in it for me?
