Title: Member of Technical Staff (Product Engineering) Location: San Francisco, CA Company Stage of Funding: Venture-backed (Series B-stage growth) Office Type: Onsite - 5 days per week Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 base + equity Company Description Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company building a next-generation research platform that helps organizations make better decisions, faster. Backed by a top-tier venture firm, the team is small, highly technical, and deeply product-driven, with a strong emphasis on ownership, speed, and quality. What You Will Do As a Member of Technical Staff (Product), you will play a critical role in shaping and building core product experiences across the platform. You'll work closely with product and design partners to take ideas from concept to production and solve complex problems end-to-end. Key responsibilities include: Building user-facing product features, including AI-powered analysis, insights, and conversational (chat) experiences Developing self-serve platform capabilities such as participant recruitment, incentives, and list/panel management Contributing to overall product experience, including UI patterns, design systems, and interaction quality Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers and designers on product-heavy initiatives Working on platform and infrastructure components, including APIs and distributed systems, as needed Owning features from initial design through launch and iteration in a fast-moving environment Ideal Candidate Background We're looking for engineers who are product-minded, execution-focused, and excited to work in an early-stage, high-impact environment. You may be a strong fit if you have: Professional experience building and shipping production software as a product-focused or front-end-leaning full-stack engineer Experience owning meaningful product features or systems from early concept through launch Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript, and comfort working across the stack Experience working in startup or high-growth environments with evolving requirements A strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous settings A solid foundation in computer science or equivalent practical experience Preferred The following are nice to have, but not required: Experience at a fast-growing venture-backed startup (Seed through Series D) Evidence of high impact or rapid growth in previous roles (e.g., fast promotions, internal recognition) Experience building design systems or highly polished user experiences Founder or early-engineering-team experience Exposure to AI-powered products or data-driven platforms Compensation, Benefits, and Other Details Base Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 Equity: Competitive equity package Employment Type: Full-time Work Environment: In-office, collaborative engineering team Growth Opportunity: Significant ownership, direct impact on product direction, and exposure to high-scale AI systems Visa Considerations: Sponsorship or transfers may be available depending on individual circumstances If you're excited about building high-impact, AI-powered products, working closely with founders, and taking real ownership in a fast-scaling company, this role offers a rare opportunity to do exactly that.
