As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of America's most dynamic urban landscapes, your pivotal role will go beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will help unlock potential, restore self-assurance, and forge connections among people of all ages - from young children taking their first spoken steps to older adults reclaiming their voices and dreams. This position offers a distinctive chance to engage with diverse patients throughout their lifespan in an environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient roles. Description Conduct thorough assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, utilizing both standardized tests and observational techniques. Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver focused and personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, and swallowing. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members-to cultivate an integrated care approach. Foster patient and family education to reinforce progress during off-clinic hours. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire treatment process. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Keep abreast of field advancements by engaging in continuing education and professional collaboration. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Comfortable with electronic medical records and adept in documentation practices. Benefits Competitive salary reflective of experience. Flexible work schedules promoting optimal work-life balance and diverse caseloads. Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays. Various options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Support for continuing education and career development. Every patient carries a unique narrative, and we'll rely on your expertise to help articulate their journeys.
