Position Highlights Conduct comprehensive evaluations across all demographics including pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using validated assessments and clinical observations. Design tailored treatment regimens addressing both immediate and long-term speech, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on elements of communication such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, registered nurses, physicians, and family members, to devise integrated care plans. Educate patients and their families to bolster progress outside of the therapy setting. Partake in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation process. Keep precise and timely documentation compliant with all legal and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing education and professional collaboration to stay abreast of advancements in the field. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified. Licenses and Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment. Skills Required Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methodologies across all ages, with an in-depth understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, both developmental and acquired. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Capability to modify therapy approaches to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Analytical acumen with well-honed clinical judgment and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and documentation protocols.
