Description Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients of all ages using proven evaluation methods and keen observation. Create tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate needs and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy services focusing on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Engage with fellow therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to construct cohesive and effective care plans. Provide educational guidance to patients and families, empowering them to support progress outside therapy sessions. Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions in inpatient settings, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process. Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state and organizational regulations. Engage in continuing education and collaborative opportunities to stay abreast of industry advancements. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is forthcoming. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, complemented by a thorough understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exemplary communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capability to tailor treatment methods to accommodate various cultural and linguistic dynamics. Strong clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.
