Education Requirements A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health science degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certification Requirements Obtaining ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment.
