Nurses, Registered

Coxsackie Correctional Facility is seeking the services of nine registered nurses for its medical unit. This medical unit is located inside the correctional facility and will therefore involve treatment of incarcerated individuals. Please note that these positions may require weekend and holiday shifts. Duties to be performed include: Diagnosing and treating patients' health problems Performing health assessments to identify new symptoms of possibly undiagnosed conditions or complications dministering medication as needed Managing and delivering restorative or palliative care to the ill, disabled, and dying Teaching and counseling patients about maintenance of health and prevention of illness or complications Contributing as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team and as a consultant on health-related committees to plan and implement the health care needs of patients Executing medical regimens as prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, podiatrists, and dentists Diagnosing and treating patients' health problems Performing health assessments to identify new symptoms of possibly undiagnosed conditions or complications dministering medication as needed Managing and delivering restorative or palliative care to the ill, disabled, and dying Teaching and counseling patients about maintenance of health and prevention of illness or complications Contributing as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team and as a consultant on health-related committees to plan and implement the health care needs of patients Executing medical regimens as prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, podiatrists, and dentists
