Senior Jira DevOps Engineer

Job Description Please Note: It is a 100% Onsite position. The Candidate must be willing to report to work onsite in Washington, D.C. Duration: 12-month engagement with possible extension Job Description: Looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the deployment, configuration, and integration of Jira SaaS in a secure government cloud environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Agile transformation, DevSecOps automation, and enterprise tool integration. Key Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and optimize Jira SaaS for enterprise Agile delivery. Design and implement integrations with GitLab, ServiceNow, and other platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, and scripting. Lead the migration from Azure DevOps and GitLab to Jira SaaS. Collaborate with Agile and cybersecurity teams to enable automation, compliance, and robust reporting. Requirements Required Skills: 3+ years of Jira administration/engineering (SaaS or on-prem). Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript). Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and DevSecOps principles. Hands-on experience integrating enterprise tools and optimizing workflows. Preferred Skills: Atlassian certifications (ACP-620, ACP-120, or equivalent). Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian tools. Familiarity with secure/federal environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, SOX).
