Job Description

ABOUT US: Ethos Risk Services is a top-tier insurance claims investigation and medical management company, excelling in surveillance and fraud detection. We provide precise data and actionable insights that empower our clients to make informed decisions. JOB SUMMARY: Become a crucial part of our innovative team at Ethos as a Senior Investigative Specialist. In this role, you will carry out surveillance and investigative tasks focused on uncovering potential fraudulent insurance claims. Your work will involve both stationary and mobile surveillance, capturing high-quality video and photographic evidence, and creating comprehensive reports for our clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Case Preparation: Analyze Ethos' preliminary reports and case details to effectively prepare for surveillance assignments. Field Surveillance: Implement covert surveillance strategies from your vehicle, meticulously tracking and recording high-quality video evidence of subjects. Report Writing: Compose detailed, court-ready investigative reports that highlight key findings and activities. Documentation: Complete case files by submitting reports and uploading video footage using your personal laptop at the end of each day. Communication: Collaborate closely with field supervisors and operations teams, benefiting from ongoing guidance and mentorship. REQUIREMENTS: Previous Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in covert surveillance techniques, capturing clear video footage, and crafting well-organized investigative reports. Driver's License: Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance are mandatory. Personal Vehicle: A reliable, well-maintained vehicle (preferably with tinted windows) is essential. Surveillance Equipment: Ownership of a handheld camcorder with high-quality zoom and a covert camera device. Use of stabilization equipment, such as gimbals or tripods, is strongly recommended. Technology: A dependable laptop, cellphone, and internet service are required for seamless communication and administrative tasks. Private Investigator License: Active Private Investigator license or a willingness to obtain one as mandated by state law. WORKING CONDITIONS: Assignments are typically within a 2-hour drive from your residence, with occasional travel and overnight stays required (travel expenses covered by the company). Most surveillance cases begin at 6:00 AM, with varying end times. Workdays can range from 3 to 12 hours. Weekend and holiday work is expected, as claimants are often more active during these times. This independent role may involve long hours spent alone in your vehicle, regardless of the weather. Maintaining focus without external distractions is crucial, as you must be ready to document subjects using videography equipment. Ethos Risk Services is an equal opportunity employer, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds regardless of religious creed, sex, national origin, race, veteran status, disability, age, marital status, color, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. A background check will be conducted in compliance with local state laws and regulations.
