Surgical Scrub Technician

NO weekends, NO Major Holidays, NO Call!! The primary function of the Surgical Scrub Technician assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meeting and Quality Management & Improvement activities.  Job Requirements: Education - High School Diploma or GED certification. Completion of surgical scrub technician course Operating Room experience CPR certification Strong ethical and moral character references Preferred: Two years’ previous operating room experience ASC experience  Job Qualifications/Requirements: Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians. Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public. Capability for occasional overhead and low reach. Physical strength for equipment needs and patient care activities. Visual and auditory acuity for timely responsiveness and patient care assessment activities. Ability to move quickly in response to patient needs. Ability to make frequent judgments and respond to routine problems. Ability to make occasional judgments and respond to disasters or emergencies, actual events, or drills.
