Job Details - Travel Radiology Job (Portland, OR) Assignment Type: Travel / Contract Radiology Technologist Location: Portland, OR 97213 (Portland healthcare opportunity) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:00) Hours per Week: 40 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Facility (hospital-based radiology) Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics Daily Census: ~32 patients Charting System: Epic (experience preferred) Parking: Free on-site parking Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1520 - $1630 per week (depending on experience and qualifications) Qualifications / Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with DEXA/Bone Density experience required Current OBMI (Oregon Board of Medical Imaging) license or ability to obtain prior to start ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification ARRT Bone Densitometry certification (DEXA) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA Experience with Epic charting system preferred (electronic medical record experience helpful) Reliable vehicle for assignment and ability to travel locally/float to sister facilities if needed Ability to provide two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years Key Responsibilities - DEXA Technologist / Radiology Perform DEXA (Bone Density) scans for adult and geriatric patients, ensuring high-quality images and accurate positioning Operate bone densitometry equipment per manufacturer and departmental protocols Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards at all times Follow isolation precautions and appropriate use of PPE Document procedures, findings, and patient information accurately in Epic (or designated EMR) Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear patient education about the DEXA exam Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams (radiology, nursing, and providers) to support optimal patient outcomes Complete required orientation and annual competency training prior to and during the assignment Why This Portland Radiology Opportunity?
