The Role We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Datavant's exciting new Legal & Insurance vertical. This vertical aims to simplify the medical record retrieval process and deliver exceptional services to attorneys, copy services, and insurance requesters. In this role, you will: Define and cultivate the long-term product vision and strategy for the Legal & Insurance vertical. Collaborate with engineering, data science, operations, and design teams to develop this business line from scratch. Shape the necessary workflows, data models, and platform logic for scalable, compliant solutions. Partner with executive leadership to establish priorities, guide investments, and ensure alignment across functions. Leverage advanced AI technology to create innovative solutions in data-rich environments. Act as a thought leader and mentor, amplifying the product management capabilities within Datavant. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will spearhead strategy and vision while meticulously managing execution details to ensure successful product launches. This position provides a unique opportunity to establish a new vertical at Datavant from the ground up—ideal for a Principal-level PM who thrives in ambiguity, clarifies complexities, and enjoys building at the intersection of healthcare, legal, and insurance data. What You'll Bring 8-12+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-grade, data-centric products. A demonstrated ability to define product strategy and influence company direction, extending beyond basic roadmaps. Experience with data exchange, retrieval, or healthcare data products; expertise in legal, insurance, or medical record retrieval is a plus. Comfort in designing products for regulated, high-stakes environments, balancing compliance with user experience considerations. Adept at simplifying complexity and influencing executives, technical leaders, and non-technical stakeholders. A record of mentoring other PMs and enhancing product quality and impact. A collaborative team player with a self-starter mentality—thriving in uncertainty, learning swiftly, and executing diligently. A strategic thinker who can seamlessly transition between vision and execution, adept at balancing long-term strategy with hands-on product delivery. The estimated total cash compensation for this position ranges from $193,000 to $242,000 USD.
