Float Pool Charge Nurse Chandler, Arizona Chandler Regional Medical Center As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit. Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education. Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department. Evaluates care given by staff. Coaches to improve care. Ensures standard of care is maintained. Required: Associates of Nursing (ADN/ASN) Two (2) years of Nursing Experience Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS) Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS) Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a Charge Nurse, House Supervisor or nursing leader.
