General Manager Marriott Tribute Collection Hotel – Lake Placid, NY Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our exceptional team at a Marriott Tribute Collection hotel in Lake Placid, NY. This unique property combines boutique charm with modern elegance, catering to guests seeking a distinct and memorable stay. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in hotel management, and an exceptional background in Food & Beverage (F&B) operations, as F&B is a key component of our guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, F&B, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure profitability and operational excellence. Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with Marriott Tribute Collection standards and the hotel’s unique positioning. Food & Beverage Excellence: Lead and innovate the F&B operations, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service, ensuring high-quality offerings and seamless guest experiences. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team to craft creative menus, drive revenue, and maintain cost controls. Cultivate a culture of service excellence and unique dining experiences that align with the Tribute Collection brand. Guest Experience: Foster a guest-centric culture by ensuring every guest interaction reflects the hotel’s commitment to personalized service and unique experiences. Regularly engage with guests to gather feedback and continuously improve operations. Team Development: Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team across all departments. Promote a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and growth within the organization. Financial Performance: Achieve or exceed financial targets, including GOP, RevPAR, and F&B profitability. Develop and manage the hotel’s budget, ensuring effective cost control and maximized revenues. Community Engagement: Represent the hotel in the Lake Placid community, cultivating relationships with local businesses, vendors, and stakeholders. Collaborate with the marketing team to highlight the property’s local connections and unique offerings. Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in hotel management roles, with a strong emphasis on Food & Beverage operations. Proven ability to lead and manage upscale or boutique hotel properties. Demonstrated success in creating memorable F&B experiences and driving F&B profitability. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
