Experience 1 year of experience working as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, or; Successful completion of an IR clinical rotation during a formal education program Licensure/Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT.R.ARRT) certification in Radiography required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT.VI.ARRT) certification in Radiography required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with hospital personnel, patients, co-workers, and the public. Required to perform venipuncture for injections and IV management for power injector use. Knowledge of other modalities or willing to gain knowledge of other modalities as requested for the potential of cross-training opportunities. Proficient with working with patients of all ages (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly.) Ability to perform numerous tasks at once, prioritize workload and organize workflow. Must be able follow established Universal Standard and Radiation Safety precautions. Position requires flexibility to accommodate fluctuation in daily schedule, including but not limited to overtime, irregular hours and on-call responsibilities.
