Assistant Project Manager - Water Infrastructure Location: Greater Atlanta Area, GA Type: Full-Time Salary: $100,000 to $120,000/year + Car Allowance + Gas Card or Company Truck + Gas Card + Full Benefits About the Role We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join a leading civil contractor supporting water and utility infrastructure projects within the Southeast Water Division based in Atlanta, Georgia. If you are an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer looking to step up with a fast-track path to Project Manager, this is your opportunity to make a real impact while advancing your career. Compensation & Benefits Salary: Up to $120,000/year (based on experience) Paid Time Off: 15+ days PTO plus 8 paid holidays Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) with company match Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Life and disability insurance Parental leave and wellness support Vehicle allowance + gas card OR company truck + gas card Access to employee wellness and support resources Key Responsibilities Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination between field and office teams Track project budgets, support cost forecasting, and manage change order processes Oversee safety protocols and maintain quality assurance on-site Lead subcontractor coordination and monitor performance Mentor and supervise project engineers and field support staff Resolve jobsite issues related to labor, delivery, or contract administration Maintain records of vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials What You Bring Minimum 4+ years' experience in civil or water infrastructure construction Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive communication style Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls Previous experience on large civil or utility projects is highly desirable Willingness to relocate if required for future opportunities Why This Role?
