Primary Job Title: Senior Field Representative Alternate/Related Job Titles: Senior Field Service Representative Electrical Field Service Engineer Power Systems Field Technician Field Service Engineer - Power Distribution Location: Glendale Heights, IL Onsite Flexibility: Onsite (Field-Based Role) Job Details (Direct Hire only): Position Type: Direct Placement Start: As Soon As Possible Pay / Salary: $82,500 - $121,000/year Job Summary: Our client's Engineering Service & Systems Division is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to support customers across the power system lifecycle. In this role, you will perform startup and commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergency response for electrical distribution and control systems. This position is part of one of the largest and most experienced field services teams in the industry and offers significant opportunities for career growth. Key Responsibilities: Support customers across the power system lifecycle including startup, commissioning, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies Manage small projects independently and lead FSR teams on larger projects Generate timely and accurate service reports on work performed, product performance, and warranties Provide recommendations for improved electrical systems Cultivate strong relationships with customers, team members, and partners Mentor less experienced technicians Utilize digital tools for remote work including laptops, iPads, IR cameras, Google Glasses, and MS Teams Required Experience: High school diploma or higher with a minimum of 3 years of experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems OR completion of accredited trade school/program with 7+ years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems Must be authorized to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now or in the future Must have a valid driver's license Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius (Active-Duty Military Service members exempt) Nice-to-Have Experience: Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution Bachelor's degree in Engineering Electrical or General Contractor's License Professional Engineering License Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis, and protective relays NICET/NETA certification Required Skills: Power distribution Electrical Troubleshooting Industrial Electrical Preferred Skills: Understanding of 3-phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment assembly Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills Ability to explain technical problems and solutions clearly Additional Skills: Guaranteed 40-hour base pay; eligible for overtime and travel premiums Company vehicle, toolkit, and phone provided Tuition assistance and mentorship opportunities Leads program with bonus pay Successfully complete and maintain safety program compliance; achieve Field Certified Level 3 safety qualifications Submit to customer-required background and drug screenings Ability to work variable hours including nights, weekends, and travel as required Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card Physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and working in extreme weather or high-noise environments Ability to drive extended distances Works well under time constraints and in stressful situations Collaborates effectively with the team to meet project deadlines About the Client: Intelligent power management company focused on sustainability and improving quality of life.
