The Program Director will oversee all aspects of residency operations, accreditation, curriculum development, faculty leadership, and resident education while maintaining an active clinical practice.Curriculum & Education Develop and oversee a comprehensive family medicine curriculum Ensure strong training in inpatient, outpatient, obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and community medicine Promote scholarly activity, research, and quality improvement Faculty & Resident Oversight Recruit, mentor, and evaluate core faculty Lead resident recruitment, evaluation, mentorship, and professional development Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment focused on wellness and academic excellence Clinical Practice Maintain board certification and an active family medicine practice Supervise residents in clinical settings Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary with administrative stipend Protected administrative time Comprehensive benefits package CME support and relocation assistance (if applicable) Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with ACGME Institutional and Family Medicine Program Requirements Lead accreditation readiness and continuous program improvement Chair the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) and Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) Collaborate with hospital and GME leadership on strategic planning and budgeting Qualifications MD or DO degree Board Certified in Family Medicine Minimum 3 years of GME leadership or core faculty experience Eligible for Maine medical licensure Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills Pay TransparencyCMH actively promotes diversity in its workforce at all levels of the organization.
