Job Description

The role of a Facilities Coordinator is multifaceted, blending operational and administrative functions to ensure the smooth running of Build-A-Bear’s physical environments. This position serves as the backbone of efficient store operations, focusing on maintenance, safety, cost management, and service levels to create a functional and compliant environment conducive to productivity and comfort. Responsibilities:Manage, prioritize, and address routine store service requests Troubleshoot escalated service issues Collaborate with third-party vendors to maintain high service levels and adherence to contractual agreements Coordinate Store Closings Manage Monthly Preventative Maintenance Service Schedule Manage overflow projects contributing to the success of store openings, closures, and various special initiatives Manage field repair needs and provide support for setting up seasonal shops and offsite events Managing inventory Required Qualifications:Associate degree or Trade School 1 year of experience in facilities and maintenance Skilled with Microsoft Office Able to lift 75 pounds Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree 2 plus years of experience in facilities and maintenance Behavioral Traits for Success:Demonstrates meticulous adherence to established procedures and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality results Displays precision and attention to detail, consistently checking and double-checking work Works independently at a steady pace, minimizing reliance on others for completion Provides support and service to others in a professional and polite manner, fostering positive interactions Makes decisions based on factual examination of procedures and expertise in the field Communicates with factual precision, politeness, and specificity, emphasizing knowledgeable details Working Environment:Typical office environment with climate control and sufficient lighting, ergonomic desk/chairs Corporate Office located St. Louis, MO Travel potential up to 10% Lifting above 75 pounds Work in a non-climate-controlled environment at times Rotating on call Your Performance Will Be Measured On: Your performance will be measured by your ability to achieve annual department objectives and corporate goals which include but are not limited to the following.
