Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department is accepting applications for multiple intermittent-Actual Time Worked vacancies for Social Work Graduate Student Assistant. Applicants must : be entering second year graduate/Masters Social Work internship; enrolled in Council of Social Work Education accredited graduate/Masters Social Work degree program; graduate school contracted with DSH Patton; provide confirmation of enrollment from graduate school; provide a copy of unofficial transcripts; graduate school requires minimum 20 hours internship per week; internship period from fall through spring. The Social Work Intern performs duties within a clinical training program designed to prepare him/her for a professional Clinical Social Work career. Students will be provided supervised experience in the professional arena of Forensic Clinical Social Work. Students must maintain enrollment in the MSW Graduate program during the entire course of Social Work field placement. Duties will include, but not limited to: Documentation and recording Treatment and discharge planning Collaboration with community partners Co-facilitation of treatment groups Individual therapy Psychosocial assessments and treatment planning Clinical Case Management Working Conditions : Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a Secure Treatment Area (STA).
