Senior Java/Python Developer

Job DescriptionJSG is seeking a high-caliber contract Software Engineer for a long-term contract in Orlando, Florida. This role will sit between Software Engineering and Systems Operations, focusing on delivering and maintaining large-scale, highly available distributed systems. As a key member of the technical team, you will ensure the entire ecosystem remains resilient and efficient. This is a hybrid role based in Orlando, Florida, requiring a blend of proactive development and reactive production support. Core Responsibilities System Architecture: Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems that prioritize high availability and performance. Development: Write clean, efficient code in Java and Python to automate manual processes and enhance system functionality. Infrastructure & Cloud: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across major platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP). Database Management: Maintain and query Oracle databases, utilizing SQL and PL/SQL to ensure data integrity and performance. Production Support: Act as a tier-3 escalation point for production issues, performing deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis. DevOps Culture: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, driving automation across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This is not open to C2C.
