Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial Positions/Maintenance Date Posted: 3/5/2026 Location: Administration Center The Anticipated Maintenance Mechanic IV - HVAC/Plumbing position at ACE is available in May 2026. It is a Level 6, Step 1, 8 hours per day, 249 days per year position. Work hours are first shift, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with altered hours and extra time as needed and approved. Minimum pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Required skills: High school diploma required. Possesses Class C driver's license and has had no repeated motor vehicle violations for the previous three years. Performs accurate computations, reads, writes, and correctly interprets written directions. As a Maintenance Mechanic IV-HVAC (ACE daytime), you are headquartered in our Administration Center in Lewisberry, from which you will serve all the buildings in our District. You are responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and related equipment across district facilities. You ensure all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and school district standards. Work may include servicing lighting systems, power distribution panels, wiring, outlets, switches, and control systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems sized up to and including 480v in single and three-phase. You perform preventive maintenance and respond promptly to service calls to minimize disruptions to instruction and school activities, and you plow snow. Duties may also include supporting HVAC equipment, kitchen appliances, fire alarm systems, and other low-voltage systems. The position requires strong skills diagnosing electrical issues using technical knowledge, schematics, and testing equipment. You help create a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors.
