Project Manager - Paper Converting Sector

This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, although we prefer candidates located near a Foth office. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout all project phases. Collaborate closely with clients to define project scope, develop comprehensive proposals, and foster strong relationships. Plan and manage projects in accordance with budget, schedule, and contract obligations. Oversee project activities to ensure timely execution and deliverables are met. Manage changes in project scope and maintain accurate documentation. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through successful project delivery. Lead the engineering design team and coordinate effectively with subcontractors. Anticipate staffing needs and assist in selecting qualified project team members. Set objectives and provide constructive feedback on team performance. Collaborate with procurement teams to solicit and analyze bids for installation services. Guide procurement strategies for necessary equipment and parts. Create and communicate safety plans for all job site employees. Promote adherence to safety policies across projects. Work closely with construction management during installation phases. Assist in developing installation, technical check-out, and start-up plans. Act as the start-up leader for installations, coordinating efforts with service representatives and contractors. Tackle challenges proactively with clients and project teams. Collaborate with teams to enhance work efficiency. Be prepared to travel as needed for project-related tasks (approximately 30% annually). Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or equivalent technical experience. 5+ years of experience in the paper converting sector. 3+ years in project management roles involving multi-discipline engineering teams. Experience with diverse contracting models (time and materials, lump sum, etc.). Knowledge of project management tools for financial and scheduling oversight. Proven track record in capital project management. Ability to define project scope clearly and effectively. Proficient in MS Project. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in the paper converting industry. 7+ years of project management experience utilizing multi-discipline engineering teams. Project Management Professional Certification or willingness to obtain it within 24 months of hiring. Professional Engineer license. Experience in consulting environments is preferred. Background in leading proposal development. Familiarity with Primavera P6. This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $135,000 to $155,000, influenced by experience, location, and responsibilities.
