About the role: This PLM Senior Manager role is a strategic leadership position responsible for defining, implementing, and optimizing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem, ensuring its alignment with overall business objectives, particularly within the semiconductor industry. Key responsibilities include driving the PLM roadmap, leading cross-functional adoption and change management, establishing robust process and data governance for critical product data (like BOMs and NPI processes), and managing stakeholder engagement to ensure system effectiveness, data integrity, and continuous improvement. What you'll achieve: 1. Strategic Leadership & Roadmap- Drive the long-term vision, planning, and continuous improvement of the PLM ecosystem, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives. Define and Manage PLM Roadmap. Contribute to Enterprise Roadmap Architecture as it applies to Item Core Data for procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, and other stakeholders. Evaluate and Select PLM Enhancements. Communicate roadmap and status with executives. 2. Program Management & Change Management- Execute the PLM implementation, project tracking, and the critical aspects of driving organizational adoption and transformation. Drive adoption, alignment, and provide training to various departments including Engineering, Product, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, and Technical Publications. Proactively collaborate with IT on configuration, workflow, and schema improvements. Manage PLM integrations to ERP, and other enterprise applications, as well as B2B sources. Proactively drive ownership of product, process, and documentation changes with appropriate departments and sources. Lead change management initiatives associated with PLM deployment. 3. Process & Data Governance- Lead standardization, optimization, and oversight of critical product development processes (like change control and BOM management) and ensure the quality and integrity of associated product data. Stand up a small team of Document Control Analysts, prioritizing tasks, and provide professional development. Document processes, validate their application in PLM, and drive improvements where opportunities exist. Manage change control processes, ensuring changes are properly supported with appropriate Engineering and Operational documentation. Lead Data Governance and Data Quality for Item Core Data. Oversee Bill of Material (BOM) Management for Platform and SOC products. Lead the integration and optimization of the company's Phase-Gate New Product Introduction (NPI) process into the PLM system, ensuring clear gate deliverables, review mechanisms, and approval workflows are supported and enforced. 4. Stakeholder Engagement & Performance Measurement- Manage relationships with various internal departments and external partners, as well as define and track key performance indicators to ensure the success and value of PLM initiatives. Communicate project status to key stakeholders and management. Vendor Management (for PLM software and service providers). Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track PLM system health, adoption rates, process efficiency, and key performance indicators (KPIs). About you: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and 8 years; or a PhD and 5 years. Industry Expertise: Minimum 5 years of proven experience working in the semiconductor industry, with in-depth knowledge of silicon or system/platform fabrication, assembly, and test methods. Technical PLM Acumen: Minimum 7 years of hands-on, enterprise-level experience with the implementation, administration, configuration, and optimization of complex PLM software systems. Leadership & Management Skills: At least 5 years in a leadership, program management, or people management capacity, demonstrating success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior leaders. Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Communication & Influence: Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and drive consensus. The full base pay range for this role is between $146,000 and $244,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $159,500 and $265,500.
