Job Details The Director of Strategic Sourcing is responsible for strategic planning and tactical execution of sourcing strategies within the Jefferson enterprise. This role focuses on optimizing costs, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and enhancing supplier performance. The Director will lead direct reports in strategic sourcing initiatives, manage strategic vendor relationships, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive savings and operational efficiency. Job Description Essential Functions Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Strategic Leadership: Develop and manage team members to implement category-specific sourcing strategies, aligning with departmental goals. Develop and manage team members to implement appropriate contract lifecycle management principles in furtherance of enterprise goals, operational needs, and risk management strategies, as applicable. Develop an annual category management strategy in consultation with the AVP(s) and VP of Strategic Sourcing, as well as other Supply Chain leadership and appropriate stakeholders, as applicable. Implements key performance indicators in consultation with the AVP(s) and VP of Strategic Sourcing. Policies and procedures: Implements sourcing policies and category strategies in alignment with executive directives. Vendor and contract management: Lead contract negotiations and supplier relationship management within sourcing categories. Memorialize terms and conditions that reflect the outcome of the sourcing and negotiation efforts and meet ideal Jefferson contracting criteria. Execute high level strategies with strategic supplier partners, manage overall supplier relationships. Identify opportunities with supplier partners by conducting quarterly business reviews, as applicable. Market analysis and trend monitoring: Influences supplier selection and negotiations. Presents bid opportunities to key stakeholders to help influence contract decisions and remove barriers to realize value. Implement the use of proper tools (i.e., ERP, GPO, EDI, etc.) and information to support organizational needs, in alignment with innovative market trends. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to ensure sourcing aligns with patient care and operational needs. Financial and operational performance: Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives to improve the financial performance of category spend. Leadership & team development: Manage a team, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and best practices. Train and upskill junior staff. Provides mentoring to direct reports on an ongoing basis in terms of developing professional growth and personal goals. Encourage educational opportunities with team members to complement their respective professions and capabilities. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in healthcare administration, business, or related field. AND Experience: 7+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement, contract administration, or value analysis Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) or equivalent certification preferred.
