Purpose Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Onboard Support Coordinator is accountable to oversee ordering, distribution of supplies, cleanliness of the train, operate the crew food program and support the onboard team while in travel. This position is deemed Safety Alert. This position requires the incumbent to periodically access an active railway area where impaired performance could result in a significant incident affecting the health and safety of team members, guests, team members, the public, property, or the environment. Key Areas of Accountability Ordering and Inventory Maintenance Maintain inventory levels and organization of merchandise, consumables, hardware, first aid supplies, and emergency equipment for all railcars. Work with the Onboard Leadership Team and the Logistics Coordinator to review and order all supplies and culinary products. Record refrigerator temperatures and ensure proper storage of guest and crew food. Onboard Team Support Distribution and organization of onboard supplies and merchandise throughout the train. Responsible for set-up, cleanliness, and maintenance of crew cars. Operate the crew food program. Maintain the cleanliness of onboard refrigeration equipment. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the train. Meet and greet guests onboard the train and on platform. Other duties as assigned by Onboard Leadership. Health and Safety Adhere to our policies and procedures for the wearing, removal, and disposal of personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce or prevent exposures to hazards and other health risks. Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ensuring the daily completion of assigned railcar safety inspections. Qualifications Education, Certifications, Licenses First Aid Certification is an asset Food Handler Certification is an asset Valid form of I.D. for domestic travel requirements (state I.D., driver's license, passport) Experience Experience in an administrative or logistics role in the hotel, travel or tourism industry. Experience with point-of-sale systems an asset. Work Environment Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Able to travel away from home for up to 6 days at a time. Able to work weekends and holidays. Able to work in a fast-paced environment on a moving train. Must be legally allowed to work in the United States. Skills & Attributes Proficient with the Microsoft suite Strong time management, attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. Energetic, motivated, and committed to delivering guest service excellence Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrates a professional, accountable, and responsible work ethic Self-motivated to achieve goals Salary Range The base salary offered for this role is $23.00 per hour.
