About the job Certified Dental Lab Technician CDT - Vacaville, CA Job Title: Certified Dental Lab Technician Location: Vacaville, California Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (6-9 months, with potential for extension) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Pay Range: $33.25 - $35.25 per hour Job Overview We are actively seeking a Certified Dental Lab Technicianto join our team at a correctional facility in Vacaville, CA. This is a full-time contract role with the opportunity for temp-to-perm conversion into a state position with full benefits. Key Responsibilities Construct, repair, and adjust dental prosthetics (dentures, bite blocks, occlusal stints, etc.) per dentist instructions Accurately interpret dental prosthetic prescriptions Track, receive, and ship prosthetic cases across CDCR institutions Maintain inventory of dental lab supplies and ensure secure storage of hazardous materials Implement tool control and safety protocols daily Stay up to date with dental prosthetic materials, equipment, and industry practices Communicate effectively with dentists and healthcare staff Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) dental lab experience Certification: Valid CDT (Certified Dental Technician) license from the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology BLS Certification: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Identification: Valid photo ID, Drivers License, or Passport required Benefits Health Insurance Weekly Payroll via Direct Deposit 40 Hours Paid Sick Time Contract Extension Bonus All pre-employment costs covered (Physical, Drug Test, Mask Fit, Background Check) Opportunity for long-term state employment with full benefits
