We are seeking 7 part-time nurses to join our team! If you are available for any of the shifts outlined below, we encourage you to apply. Training for new hires begins on 3/30—no exceptions. The part-time shifts are listed in Central Time Zone and will vary according to your preference. Candidates can choose either two 9-hour weekend shifts or three 6-hour shifts (Saturday/Sunday with a weekday included), totaling 18 hours per week. Start times for these shifts include: 5 AM 7 AM 10 AM 11 AM 12 PM 2 PM 4 PM PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Your role will involve triaging calls to assess patient needs, providing appropriate care advice, and facilitating referrals to the proper level of treatment, all while promoting cost-effective outcomes and ensuring a safe return to work. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Apply all phases of the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when triaging calls. Identify caller needs by triaging and obtaining health information or referrals to physician services. Evaluate treatment alternatives through telephone contact with service providers. Utilize defined triage protocols to gather necessary data and enter this information into the computer system. Recognize life-threatening emergencies and recommend appropriate actions. Refer issues needing physician intervention promptly; guide patients to the suitable level of care (e.g., nearest emergency room, urgent care, primary physician, self-care). Exhibit effective verbal communication skills. Adhere to quality assurance standards and serve as a resource for other triage team members. EDUCATION AND LICENSING: A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred. An active unrestricted RN compact license is required along with two years of recent clinical practice experience.
