Daytime Armed Security Officers

Sentry Force Security is seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned their assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Immediate Full Time and Part Time positions are available. The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. Positions are available in the following cities: Virginia Beach NorfolkSuffolk Chesapeake PortsmouthMonday - Friday (0730-1730) Saturday (0730-1300) We do not work Sundays or Holidays Responsibilities:Cheerfully greet customers Be pleasant, courteous, and tactful Conduct themselves appropriately while on duty Hold the door if in a position to do so Direct customers to the appropriate line for appointments or walk-ins Act firmly, with confidence but not arrogant Attempt to verbally diffuse situations Be positioned in the lobby where they can best observe the customers and aid when necessary Shall raise the US and Commonwealth flags prior to opening and shall take down the US and Commonwealth flags after closing. Make sure visitors sign in and escort them to the staff member they are there to see Defer to management when calling 911, unless it is an emergency and then immediately notify management and Sentry Force Project Manager Unlock doors at opening and lock doors at closing with the coordination of management Ensure the back door to the supply room is locked at closing Submit all incident reports to Project Manager within 2 hours of incident occurring Maintain a D.A.R to be sent to the Project Manager at the end of every shift Shall complete an incident report for all incidents Refer to SOPs for any additional guidance Qualifications: Must have an active DCJS Armed Registration Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields preferred Familiarity with security equipment Ability to handle stand and walk up to 10 hours a day Strong attention to detail Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Compensation: $18.00 per hour About Us Sentry Force Security is a private security firm specializing in armed and unarmed uniformed security services.
