Job Description The Lead Software Engineer in AI/ML Innovation plays a crucial role in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance AI/ML infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to create solutions that prioritize low latency, high throughput, and efficient resource utilization for model training and inference on a large scale. You'll influence key strategic decisions regarding Oracle Cloud's AI infrastructure offerings while leading the design and implementation of scalable orchestration for AI/ML workloads. This includes integrating the latest advancements in generative AI and large language models, and pioneering initiatives like Retrieval-Augmented Generation and model fine-tuning. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in developing scalable, GPU-accelerated AI services, employing technologies like Kubernetes and programming languages such as Python and Go. Strong programming abilities, deep expertise in deep learning frameworks, containerization, distributed systems, and parallel computing are essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end AI/ML workflows. Responsibilities Evaluate, integrate, and optimize cutting-edge technologies for training and inference workloads to enhance latency, throughput, and resource utilization. Provide guidance on strategic decisions concerning Oracle Cloud's AI infrastructure offerings. Design and implement scalable orchestration for serving and training AI/ML models, ensuring performance and model parallelism throughout the AI/ML stack. Investigate and incorporate contemporary research in generative AI, agents, and inference systems into the Large Language Model (LLM) software stack. Lead groundbreaking initiatives in generative AI systems design, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and LLM fine-tuning. Design and develop scalable services and tools to support GPU-accelerated AI pipelines, leveraging Kubernetes, Python/Go, and observability frameworks. Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with machine learning and deep learning concepts, algorithms, and models. Proficiency with orchestration and containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker. Expertise in modern container networking and storage architecture. Ability to orchestrate, run, and optimize large-scale distributed training/inference workloads. In-depth understanding of AI/ML workflows, including data processing, model training, and inference pipelines. Experience with parallel computing frameworks and paradigms. Strong programming skills with proficiency in major deep learning frameworks. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
