In this vital volunteer role, you will help shape the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring financial sustainability while championing our mission to support survivors of domestic violence. Your engagement will involve attending regular board meetings and utilizing your expertise, resources, and networks to amplify our impact. As a Board Director, you will be integral to articulating our mission, advocating for social change through public policy, and assisting in the selection and evaluation of the Executive Director. Your key responsibilities will include setting and achieving both short- and long-term goals, increasing public awareness, and assisting in the recruitment and orientation of new board members. We are looking for candidates who share our values and are committed to making an annual financial contribution. You will be expected to support and participate in fundraising efforts, attend board and committee meetings, and represent the organization at public events. The ideal candidate will be driven, deeply committed to our mission, and skilled at collaborating with fellow board members to effect positive change. Experience in nonprofit governance, finance, legal matters, or fundraising is highly desirable, alongside a deep understanding of domestic violence issues and a passion for empowering survivors.
