Job Summary: The Plant Manager directs the manufacturing operations through a team of functional leaders ensuring customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines. This position oversees the operations of manufacturing, industrial engineering and production planning. The Plant Manager provides leadership in maintaining the production schedule, high quality, improvement initiatives and safety. Leads supervisors and managers to set goals, develop new and better methods, and maintain good employee morale. Responsibilities: Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. May be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple manufacturing plants. Responsible for people management, development, discipline, and succession planning at plant level. Provides leadership in areas of kaizen/5S/lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, EH&S, customer satisfaction, employee relations and engagement, communication and plant performance measures. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. Participate in the budgeting and financial reporting process, and achieve the budget as approved by senior leadership Participate in Capital budget planning process. Active as Strategic Long-Term Planner Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries, waste reduction, quality improvement, safety compliance and improvement, environmental compliance and improvement, and complete and on-time delivery. Education: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or Business-related field. Knowledge and experience managing manufacturing under ISO standards (9000, 14000, 45001). Preference given to candidates with Master's degree, Six Sigma certification Skills and Experience: 7-10 years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing plant environment including the following: Kaizen/5S/lean manufacturing techniques QualityCost reduction On-time delivery EH&S Customer satisfaction Employee relations and engagement Communication Plant performance measures 5 years' experience as Plant Manager in a manufacturing facility Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
