JOB SCOPE The Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring speedy service, addressing guest complaints, and upholding quality standards. You will oversee product preparation, food safety, and cost management while leading daily operations, including opening and closing responsibilities. As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead by example, encourage teamwork, and communicate effectively to ensure our customers' needs are met in a positive, energetic environment. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Key responsibilities include: Serving the Guest: Achieving service speed goals and promptly resolving guest complaints to ensure a delightful experience. Making quick, sound business decisions while keeping guest satisfaction in mind, ensuring all employees present themselves well and provide quality products. Maintaining a friendly attitude with customers and coworkers, while adhering to operational standards. Proactively addressing and resolving service bottlenecks and customer needs. Managing the Business: Ensuring optimal product preparation, portion control, cooking, and sanitation while managing labor and food costs. Coordinating opening and closing responsibilities, overseeing staff productivity, and ensuring cleanliness and functionality of equipment. Implementing marketing strategies and maintaining restaurant cleanliness and food safety standards. Contributing to workflow with reliable attendance and a high level of energy to meet customer demands. Quickly adapting to changes in our fast-paced setting. Leading People: Leading by example, following procedural and appearance standards, and participating in goal setting. Offering constructive feedback, addressing performance issues, and promoting teamwork and collaboration. Effectively communicating with team members and management in both verbal and written forms. Sharing your views and concerns constructively with colleagues and supervisors. Bringing high energy and determination to meet customer expectations. SUPERVISED ROLES Team Members Qualifications To qualify for this role, you need: To be at least 18 years old. To be legally authorized to work in the United States. Availability for flexible work hours. A valid food handler's certificate (which can be obtained during employment, depending on state or local regulations). The ability to obtain additional food safety certifications on the job. Strong communication and customer service skills. The aptitude for making quick and effective decisions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The following physical demands are essential for performing key responsibilities of the job. Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and frequently lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds. Frequent pushing and pulling of weights up to 20 pounds. Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and overhead lifting. Constant reaching and grasping. Frequent bending, handling, fine manipulation, and keying. Repetitive use of both hands and feet.
