Client: Financial Services Team: Capital Markets Job Title: Middle Office Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC | On-site 4-5x/week Contract Length: 12+ months Rate: $50-55/hr Top Requirements: Middle Office, Product Control, or Risk Analyst experience Strong derivatives knowledge (options, futures, swaps) Understanding of Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta, Rho) Daily P&L production / P&L attribution experience Strong Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots, large datasets) Plusses: Master's in Finance, Financial Engineering, Quant Finance, Math, or Statistics Exposure to valuation, pricing models, and market risk Experience supporting cross asset trading desks Reconciliation or break investigation experience Job Summary: This role sits within Middle Office / Product Control supporting daily P&L, risk reporting, and reconciliation across trading, risk, and operations systems. The position is a backfill to allow internal SMEs to focus on project work, and serves as a pipeline for long term Middle Office careers, including potential FTE conversion. Strong derivatives knowledge, quantitative comfort, and interest in cross asset products are key. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Perform daily P&L and risk production Support P&L Attribution (PLA) and product control workflow Conduct back to front reconciliations across trading, risk, and operations systems Investigate breaks, discrepancies, and valuation differences Validate and analyze trading desk activity across cross asset products Provide analytical support for risk measures and financial reporting EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
