Job Description Join our team as a Rad Tech-Cath/IR and play a vital role in delivering high-quality cardiovascular imaging services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced healthcare environment, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient care and safety during complex procedures, making a profound impact on patient outcomes. What You'll Do: Operate diagnostic fluoroscopy and advanced cardiac equipment to produce clear images of coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. Assist physicians during catheterization, IR, and other cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Monitor patient vitals and conduct hemodynamic assessments throughout procedures. Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients, adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Manage digital image archiving and retrieval using PACS systems. Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks to ensure optimal imaging quality. Document procedures accurately for billing and compliance purposes. Adapt communication and care techniques to meet diverse patient needs in a highly stressful setting. Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols, minimizing exposure risks for staff and patients. Required Skills: Associate degree in radiologic sciences; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience as an allied health professional in a cardiovascular imaging setting. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). State Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT registration. Proficiency with fluoroscopy, PACS, and related medical imaging software. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to perform complex, detail-oriented tasks in a high-pressure environment. Knowledge of federal, state, and local radiation safety regulations. Flexibility to work on a schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Nice to Have Skills: Experience with new cardiovascular imaging techniques or equipment. Familiarity with hospital radiation safety procedures and equipment maintenance. Bilingual abilities to enhance patient interaction and teamwork. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences or related field. 3+ years of relevant cardiovascular imaging and interventional experience. Other Requirements: Willingness to work on a day shift, 8 hours per day. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds with assistive support. Must meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods and exposure to infectious materials. Compliance with all safety, infection control, and OSHA standards. Mandatory certifications and licensures as specified.
