Kennel Technician

To us, comfort is much more than just a place to sit. It is peace of mind. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and comfort of our animal guests, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for them. Responsibilities: Feed, water, and provide proper care to animals, including dogs, cats, and other small animals. Clean and sanitize animal living spaces and equipment on a regular basis. Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member. Assist with basic medical procedures, such as administering medication and taking vital signs. Groom animals, including bathing, brushing, and trimming nails. Provide exercise and socialization for animals as directed by staff. Assist with adoptions and animal intake as needed. Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with animals in a kennel or shelter environment is not required, but it would be a plus.. Knowledge of animal care and behavior. Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
