Quality, compliance, and scientific integrity are core to our operations.Role SummaryThe Lab Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the quality control laboratory, overseeing microbiologists and analysts, ensuring compliance with FDA, cGMP, ISO, and customer requirements. The role combines technical leadership, people management, compliance, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Laboratory Operations & ComplianceManage daily lab operations including microbiological, chemical, and physical testingEnsure compliance with FDA, cGMP (21 CFR 111/117), ISO 17025, and internal SOPsMaintain readiness for customer, regulatory, and third-party auditsReview, approve, and release test results and Certificates of Analysis (COAs)Oversee method validation, verification, and transfer2. Team Leadership & People ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a team of microbiologists and lab analystsAllocate workload, manage shifts, and ensure optimal productivityConduct performance reviews, training plans, and skill developmentFoster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement3. Documentation & Data IntegrityEnsure accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and data integrity (ALCOA+)Approve SOPs, test methods, deviations, OOS, CAPAs, and change controlsMaintain LIMS and ensure data traceability4. Equipment & Lab InfrastructureManage lab equipment calibration, maintenance, and qualificationPlan and execute new equipment procurement and validationEnsure lab safety, hygiene, and biosafety compliance5. Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with QA, Regulatory, Procurement, Operations, and SalesSupport customer inquiries, technical questionnaires, and investigationsAssist in supplier qualification and raw material evaluationQualifications & ExperienceEducation:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related fieldExperience:7-12 years of laboratory experienceMinimum 3-5 years in a lab leadership or supervisory roleStrong exposure to microbiology testing (pathogens, yeast & mold, TPC)Experience in nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food, or pharma industry preferredTechnical Skills:FDA cGMP (21 CFR 111/117)ISO 17025 / GLPMicrobiology & analytical testingOOS, CAPA, deviation handlingLIMS and data integrity systemsSoft Skills:Strong leadership and people managementHigh attention to detail and integrityProblem-solving and decision-makingClear communication and documentation skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationGrowth opportunities in a global organizationHigh-impact leadership roleCulture driven by quality, ownership, and trust
